Detox recipes are very beneficial when you want to remove toxins from your body. If you are feeling tired all the time at get sick too often it is a sign that your body is under stress and having trouble eliminating toxins on a daily basis.

There are many foods you can eat to help detoxify your body. By altering your diet and choosing foods that are alkalizing such as fresh fruits and vegetables you will help toxins to be eliminated naturally. It is essential that your drink a lot of pure water to assist this process, take probiotics to boost your immune system and a colon cleanse may be required if you previously had a bad diet of processed foods.

It is also essential to avoid preservatives and additives. To do this you will need to cook your food fresh daily so you know what is going into your food. Detox recipes also include juices which are very popular as they are easy to make and taste great. You can add fresh fruit juices with vegetables that have been juiced also.

Soups are also very popular as they quick to make and have a lot of flavor. Here is a recipe you can try at home that tastes great at contains cumin which help detox your body.

Cumin, Tomato and Rice Soup.

Ingredients

2 cloves of garlic that has been crushed
1 onion
1 teaspoon ground cumin
85grams of brown basmati rice
4 Large tomatoes chopped roughly
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
290ml of vegetable stock
Parsley chopped
4 T of olive oil
Salt and black pepper to taste

Firstly cook the rice normally and set aside.
Chop all the vegetables and lightly saute them in a saucepan with the coconut oil, onion and garlic.
Then add the cumin, rice and vegetable stock.
Add parsley and salt and pepper to taste and simmer.
Then serve in bowls and lightly drizzle the olive oil over soup.

By replacing drinks that have caffeine such as coffee and sugar with fresh fruit juices and herbal teas you will help with the detoxification. These types of foods are very nutritious and promote better health in the long term. This does not mean you have to go without these foods forever. Detox recipes can be followed for 7 days or until you start to feel better.

Once you finish detoxing your body it is advised to take caffeine,sugar and alcohol moderately and have a diet that is high in fruit and vegetables, foods that contain high amount of fibre and acid free foods.
