When on a detox cleanse some people don’t know what Detox Foods they should consume.In this article I will list foods that you should eat and foods you should avoid.The detox foods that you should mostly consume are organic vegetables.As they have the most amount of nutrition,vitamin and minerals and phytonutrients to help your body heal while cleansing.

It is ideal to have 8-10 servings of vegetables throughout the day to help nourish your vital organs through a detox.If you find it hard to consume this much vegetables try to make at least half of your diet to be raw vegetables.Raw vegetables contain high levels of antioxidants,phytonutrients and minerals which are destroyed when cooked.Other ways of preparing your vegetables would be to steam,boil and bake them.Do not cook in oil but rather add it to your food after preparation.Some vegetables are broccoli,cabbage,horseradish,chinese vegetables such as bok choy and garlic and onions.

Other detox foods are lemons which have vitamin C,which is also known as the detox mineral which helps eliminate toxins.Green tea helps the liver while on a detox cleanse and has antioxidants.Psyllium husks which is high in fibre and helps remove toxins from your body faster.And lastly eat as many fruits as you like which contain fibre,vitamin c and antioxidants.

While on a detox cleanse some foods to avoid are dairy products such as eggs,milk,cream,yogurt,Sugar of all types should also be avoided.If you need a sweetener you can try stevia which is a herb found in Paraguay and Brazil and is a natural sweetener and is calorie free.Also lower your intake of salt and consume detox foods that are organic and free from preservatives and food additives.Make sure you are the only one that prepare your food so you know what you are eating.
